Why don't you use fenugreek? Isn't Fenugreek a galactagogue?Updated 2 years ago
Fenugreek is a wonderful lactogenic herb. That said, for anyone with thyroid issues (hypothyroidism specifically), it is recommended to avoid fenugreek as it may lower blood T3 levels. Hypothyroidism can develop in pregnancy and persist through lactation. As a result, we avoid using fenugreek in this formulation of our Lactation Latte and opt for other wonderful lactogenic herbs like Moringa, Goats Rue, and Shatavari. If you don’t have hypothyroidism then there shouldn’t be any reason to avoid Fenugreek.
